Hey Baseballtown!
My name is Amanda and I am so excited to be a rookie on the Reading
Phillies Dance Team! I was born right here in Reading, PA, and I was raised to be an R-Phils fan my whole life. I am currently a student at West Chester University, where I am a Theatre and Dance major with a concentration in dance. At WCU, I was a member of the dance team, and I am planning on trying out for the University Dance Company.
I began my training in dance when I was three years old and I am trained in all areas of dance such as tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, pointe and partner dancing. I have been dancing for 16 years, and I look forward to the many more years to come. When I graduate from college, I plan on working with my father in the bridal fashion industry and hopefully will be able to begin a career in the performing arts industry.
In my spare time, I love to be around my family and friends. I am very close with all of my family members, and I have the best friends anyone could ask for. I love being at the beach, going shopping, watching movies or just hanging out and having a good time. I also love to work with children. I was a student teacher at my dance studio for 3 years and I loved every minute of it. I taught kids from ages 3 on up. It was a wonderful experience filled with great memories. And now, I look forward to making new memories as a part of the R-Phils Dance Team. It is such a pleasure to perform for the baseball fans of the R-Phils. See you at the ballpark!!
