ABOUT ME
First Name: Amanda
Nickname: (don’t have one)
Hometown: Harleysville, PA
Occupation: Student/waitress
Education: Currently a senior at Kutztown University majoring in Criminal Justice
Hobbies: Eat, Sleep, Dance!!!

Dance/Cheer Performance Experience: I have been dancing since the age of three at various local studios and I was a member of a competitive dance team throughout high school. Since I loved to dance I decided to make that my major in college (Rutgers University and The University of the Arts). In 2006 I auditioned for the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleading squad and was chosen!! I performed with them for the next four years at every home game at Lincoln Financial Field, as well as the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio. In July of 2009, I traveled to Kuwait and Iraq with 5 of my fellow Eaglettes on a twelve day Goodwill Military Tour where we performed for thousands of U.S. troops. And now I am enjoying my first year with the Reading Phillies Dance Team!!

Favorite Movie: I’ve always loved Pretty Woman, but I also love scary movies and comedies.
I am Happiest When: I am dancing…of course!
Sweats or a Dress: Either. When I go out with my girls, I get all dressed up. And then there are times I feel like just being comfortable in sweatpants and no make up
Most people don't know: I have had firearms training
Favorite Dessert: My grandmother’s cookie roll
Guilty Pleasure: Shopping!!!
Dream Vacation: Going anywhere tropical!! Give me white sand, a blue ocean, some sun and I’m there!!!

Favorite Store: I have a lot! But a few of my favorites are Guess, Bebe, and every girl loves Victoria’s Secret.
Most Embarrassing Moment: I really don’t have one. If something embarrasses me I just laugh it off and move on.
Most Unusual Job: I don’t think I’ve really had any “unusual” jobs. But I guess you could say being an Eagles Cheerleader. That’s something not may people get the opportunity to do.
What would you like to be doing in 5 years: I will have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice so I hope to be working in that specified field and to be overall happy with everything I have accomplished.

Lifetime Goal: To be successful and happy
My Passions: Dancing, RPDT, family, flip flops, big sunglasses, white sandy beaches, hoodies, Old City, camping, the military, best friends, taking lots of pictures, shopping, chocolate chip cookie dough, text messages, thunderstorms, all Philly sports teams…and anything that makes me happy!!
Proudest Accomplishment: Traveling to Kuwait and Iraq on a twelve day Goodwill Military Tour. I went on this tour for more than just the experience. I went over there not only to boost the moral of our brave soldiers and show my support but also for more personal reasons. I have family and friends in the military currently serving our country as well as family members who have given their lives to protect our freedom. This tour was my small contribution to those who have sacrificed so much for us and if given the opportunity I would go back without a second thought. A piece of my heart will always be in Iraq.

Favorite Quote: "I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself. And sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together" ~ Marilyn Monroe
Biggest Pet Peeve: Cracking knuckles. It drives me nuts!! And people who drive in the passing lane when they aren’t passing.
My Claim to Fame: I was a Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader for four years and made captain my second season on the squad.

Best Advice Ever Given, and from Whom: My mom has always told me to be honest with myself and admit to my mistakes and do what I need in order to correct it.
